BRIDGEWATER, NJ (September 4, 2007) – Brother International Corporation (Brother), a leading manufacturer of electronic labeling systems, announced today a new portable, handheld P-touch Electronic Labeling System—the Brother PT-1010. Brother’s newest P-touch labeler is designed with a large, easy-to-read LCD screen that allows users to preview label output. The PT-1010 includes a time & date hot key that lets users add time information for food storage. In addition, the PT-1010 comes with a new rubber grip to fit comfortably in the user’s hand. With an estimated street price of $39.99†, the Brother PT-1010 is the ultimate jack of all trades, perfect for the home, office, and the mobile office—for indoor and outdoor use.

PORTABLE
The Brother P-touch PT-1010 gives those who organize in more than one location a single, highly portable tool to get the job done. Users will discover a new sense of freedom applying this labeling solution to an expanded range of settings where they live and work—be it a small office or closets at home, garage, camping and sports equipment in the kids’ room, college room, or for quick labeling in commercial environments.

CONVENIENT & VERSATILE
The ergonomics and versatility of the Brother PT-1010 also deliver a quick, convenient labeling solution for those in telecommunications, retail and food service, warehousing and facilities management. This labeler is so convenient and versatile that it is an ideal solution for food containers, tools and equipment, and for identifying shelves, cables and electrical panels on-site.  Users just type, print, peel, and stick to print durable, laminated labels in seconds.

FULL LINE OF DURABLE TAPES*
The Brother PT-1010 further distinguishes itself from other labelers in the market by using tough TZ laminated tape for indoor and outdoor labels up to ½” wide. The adaptable new unit also prints everything from extra-narrow 9/64” CD-spine labels, up to 1/2” wide labels, for shelves, files folders, binders and more.

The PT-1010 comes with a 1/2” black on white starter tape. It can be used with up to 29 Brother “TZ” laminated tapes, which come in a variety of colors and sizes to enhance and personalize labels.

There are also special-use tapes available*: Flexible ID tape for labeling cables, wires and sharp rounded surfaces; Extra-Strength Adhesive tape for adhering to hard-to-hold surfaces, and Fabric Iron-on tape, which is great for labeling kids’ camp clothes, uniforms, and the inside of winter coats.
