Miles founder noted in business magazine
Chris Miles, founder and president of Moorestown-based Miles Technologies, was recognized by NJ Biz Magazine as one of the publication's honored 40 Under 40 leading business professionals in the State of New Jersey. With no outside capital, Miles founded Miles Technologies. Miles Technologies grew from a $50,000 business in its first year to a $3.1 million operation as of 2003.
Miles Technologies provides integration, networking and Internet services for a wide range of businesses throughout the Delaware Valley and New York Metropolitan area.
Depot America has HP printer parts
Farmingdale-based Depot America, a reseller of printer parts and service, announces the availability of parts, including subassemblies, consumables and paper path parts, for the following Hewlett Packard laser printers: HP Color LaserJet 1500L; HP Color LaserJet 9500; HP Color LaserJet 3500 series; HP Color LaserJet 3700 series. Depot America also said it had been awarded a certificate of excellence by Hewlett-Packard for outstanding sales and growth in 2003.

The latest addition to PNY's NVIDIA Quadro FX workstation graphics board series boasts a silent cooling system for those whose work environments require low acoustic levels.
VoIP penetration could reach 27 percent by 2008
Cedar Knolls-based Probe Group predicted that by the end of 2008 nearly 27 percent of the global fixed line market will be using voice-over Internet packet technology (VoIP). "Line-Side VoIP--What is Driving Demand," a new report from Probe Group, forecasts the market for VoIP access gateway revenues and analyzes the evolution of VoIP services. VoIP capital spending is moving from the core of the network to the edge. "As local carriers reallocate their budgets from traditional to next-generation equipment, VoIP technology will make its way into the loop side of the central office," the report said.
Williams to chair Management Dynamics board
East Rutherford-based Management Dynamics Inc., a maker of price and contract management products for the ocean transportation industry, named Barry Williams as chairman of its board of directors. The former executive director of P&O Nedlloyd brings over 30 years of IT and operational experience in the ocean transportation industry to Management Dynamics. Williams held numerous executive-level positions with P&O Nedlloyd, with a focus on applying information technology and effective change management programs.
Matrix,Adanac team up on game
Woodbridge-based Matrix Games and Adanac Command Studies will release a new Army-Level Napoleonic war game, "Campaigns on the Danube 1805 & 1809."
In "Campaigns on the Danube," players can take command of the French forces under Napoleon or Austrians under Charles and strike at each other over a large hex-based map. Cavalry, infantry, artillery, engineers, leaders, supply wagons, depots, and other counters may be maneuvered for maximum military effect, while the flexible combat system may be used either through the game system itself or through miniatures play.
SoVoz releases ProScena Studio
Princeton-based SoVoz plans to launch ProScena Studio, a content authoring system and runtime for creating real-time interactive 3D simulations for training, education and gaming applications. ProScena Studio packages state-of-the-art 3D game engine technology known as Gamebryo (manufactured by Numerical Design Limited) with a high-level, point-and-click graphical user interface to enable content authors to rapidly prototype, test and refine their designs without getting bogged down with low-level implementation details.
