MetaMatrix chooses Librados adapters
New York-based MetaMatrix, a provider of information integration and
data management technology, and California-based adaptor company
Librados Inc., announced that MetaMatrix has selected the Librados
family of pre-built JCA Adapters to meet their mission critical
integration requirements with enterprise systems such as SAP R/3,
Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel and others. MetaMatrix lists companies such
as SAP AG who OEM MetaMatrix technology into SAP NetWeaver and customers
from the Federal Government to Merrill Lynch and other Global 1000
Enterprises. When MetaMatrix selected an adapter solution they knew that
they would have to deliver the same level of performance and mission
critical security their customers had come to expect from their
integration solutions.
InfoValue debuts streaming product
Elmsford-based broadband video streaming company InfoValue Computing
Inc. announced Interactive Convention, a video streaming product to
disseminate meeting presentations to allow interactive viewing by
attendees throughout the convention center, such as in common viewing
areas, kiosks, or even hotel guest rooms. Using either a PC or a TV with
a set-top box, an attendee can follow a live presentation or play back a
previous presentation. Interactive Convention provides a high-quality
digital video experience over IP. The conventioneer can fully interact
with the time-shifted presentation video through the use of DVD like
controls including Instant Replay, Pause, Rewind and Fast Forward.
SkipJam releases media product
Port Chester-based SkipJam Corp., a provider of home media networking
solutions, released SkipJam iMedia, which it calls the first ever
network attached media solution. The company said SkipJam iMedia
technology is the first and only high fidelity, all-digital integrated
home entertainment system which combines whole house audio and video
distribution with digital recording and home control. SkipJam's iMedia
system integrates: PVR, DVR, live streaming, universal remote control,
on-TV PC access, and analog device switching.
ProvideSupport.com debuts chat system
New York-based ProvideSupport.com is offering a new chat system that
provides online business owners a solution to limited customer support
capabilities. Using a 128-bit secure connection, the online support
service works through with instant messenger technology, allowing
retailers, hosts and other online businesses to offer instant live
support on their Web sites. The fully-featured service boasts a simple
set-up with cut and paste coding, eliminating the need for complex
installations and full monitoring capabilities for administrators. Site
users are encouraged to activate the service through a large clickable
banner and are notified when operators go off-line.
Digital Warehouse gets GSA contract
New York-based Digital Warehouse announced that the General Services
Administration (GSA), the federal government agency responsible for
approving all US government purchases, has negotiated a contract with
Digital Warehouse to provide refurbished networking products to the
federal agencies. This provides program managers from any government
agency the flexibility to obtain the networking products they need
without the red tape of the normal contracting process. Digital
Warehouse also supplies major Federal Government Prime Contractors
including Lockheed Martin, SAIC, SRA CORP., with A+ Certified-as-new
refurbished internetworking gear.
Proginet updates SIFT software
Garden City-based Proginet, a developer of software to enable the secure
integration of data across enterprises of all sizes, released SIFT 2.0.
SIFT (Secure Internet File Transfer) provides businesses with a
completely secure way of transferring large and/or confidential files
through the Internet, with guaranteed delivery. The most recent version
of SIFT allows businesses to use the Internet for global networking and
file exchange while eliminating common Internet risk factors of
authentication, security and control.
