PlanITROI plans IT ROI presentation
Denville-based consultancy PlanITROI, Inc. will feature maximum return
on investment and compliance for retired IT assets at the Investment
Recovery Association Conference and Show, to be held Oct. 18-20 in
Orlando, Fla.
PlanITROI employees will demonstrate how to determine the value of
retired IT assets and discuss how to destroy data on hard drives.
PlanITROI uses a formula that aligns a client corporation's
profitability with PlanITROI's. When a company uses PlanITROI, it gives
the client a check for used IT assets that have value and then
re-markets them. After the sale of the retired IT assets, PlanITROI
gives a percentage of the income from the customer who bought the
retired IT assets back to the client.
CaptureWorks updates PrintCapture
Maplewood-based CaptureWorks, a business software developer, released
PrintCapture 4.0, the newest version of its print tracking software for
both Mac and Windows.
PrintCapture is designed for companies that need or desire to accurately
track who is printing how much of what at which sizes to which printers.
The product can capture the fine details of this information and attach
to it job numbers or billing codes in a minimally intrusive way.
PrintCapture is customizable to work in nearly any Windows and/or Mac
environment. PrintCapture can also be used to control printing in
environments where unfettered access to printers is not feasible, such
as schools.
Smart-card group plans conference
The Princeton Junction-based Smart Card Alliance announced the program
for its Fall Annual Conference being held Oct. 18-20 at the Hyatt
Fisherman's Wharf Hotel in San Francisco. Under the theme "Evolution
Through Innovation," the conference will focus on the many ways smart
cards have evolved as a result of technology innovation.
The Fall Conference offers attendees the best opportunity to learn about
the role of smart cards in the growing North American market and how
they can use smart cards in the access, financial, retail, transit, pay
TV and wireless markets in the United States.
New to the conference this year will be a Next Generation Technology
Fair, during which selected emerging companies will be invited to give a
briefing on their technology and smart card solutions to the conference
attendees and invited venture capital firms.
Prime teams with b4nAfter
Clark-based Prime Associates Inc., a maker of anti-money laundering
software for financial institutions, entered into an alliance with
b4nAfterApplications, LLC, a provider of integrated solutions for all
businesses concentrating on compliance, auditing, and document imaging
and file management.
b4nAfter makes the compliance management product b4nAfter
ComplianceAlert, a database of compliance issues based on existing
policies, procedures and best practices that define a compliance
program.
Freeman new Taratec COO
Bridgewater-based Taratec, a life science consultancy that provides
integrated business, information technology, and regulatory compliance
services, announced the appointment of John H. Freeman as chief
operating officer.
Freeman comes to Taratec after 30 years at IBM, where he held positions
in sales, marketing, and operations management, working extensively with
pharmaceutical and medical device clients.
Digital5 unveils streaming software
Lawrenceville-based Digital 5 Inc. announced the launch of its latest
streaming technology software to support the secure management and
distribution premium video and audio content throughout the connected
home from either the local PC or across the Internet.
The new Digital 5 AV embedded Client Software can run on a number of
industry codec ICs. This software can be implemented in many connected
consumer products, either as a stand-alone AV media device, or as an
embedded solution into another AV component.
The Digital 5 AV platform offers a modular architecture, which allows
the flexibility to be easily ported to multiple codec chips in the
market today while supporting multiple industry standard DRM solutions
such as Windows Media DRM, DTCP/IP and others.
