Mansell's Nance named by magazine
Atlanta-based Mansell Group, a maker of technology enabled marketing and
customer relationship products, said its founder and president Allen
Nance was named one of the "40 Under 40," a distinction given to
prominent Georgia residents by the editorial staff of Georgia Trend
Magazine.
Mansell also offers database management and customer intelligence to its
clients.
BTG forms subsidiary company
BTG Enterprises, an Atlanta-based IT solutions firm, formed a subsidiary
company, Clear Compliance Inc.
Clear Compliance will be responsible for the marketing, sales and future
product developments of Clear Compliance, a Web-based enterprise-wide
compliance management application originally developed by BTG
Enterprises.
Clear Compliance helps companies manage federal, state and local
regulatory compliance issues, and offers the ability to easily manage,
monitor, and track regulations affecting their businesses.
BroadSource names new CEO
Atlanta-based BroadSource Inc. named Vincent Brennan CEO. Tripp Rackley,
the company's current chairman and interim CEO, will remain chairman.
Brennan was most recently with Digital Insight. BroadSource provides
telecommunications expense management technology.
Video Display director steps down
Atlanta-based Video Display Corp. said Carleton Sawyer resigned as a
member of its board.
Sawyer was the senior independent member of the board and served in that
position since late 1984.
Video Display Corp. designs, develops, and manufactures technology for
display requirements for military, medical and industrial use with
emphasis on high-end training and simulation applications.
MAPICS CFO to resign in November
Atlanta-based MAPICS Inc. CFO Michael Casey was to leave the company at
the end of November to join a private Atlanta-based software company as
its COO and CFO.
Casey joined MAPICS in 2001. MAPICS provides ERP, CRM, and supply chain
management software and professional services.
Royal Bank of Scotland buys Lynk Systems
The Royal Bank of Scotland completed its $525 million acquisition of
Atlanta-based electronic commerce and payment services company Lynk
Systems Inc.
Lynk employs 550 at its Atlanta headquarters and has a national network
of more than 400 sales employees. Lynk is considered the sixth-largest
non-bank acquirer and the ninth-largest merchant acquirer in the United
States. In addition, Lynk is the third-largest processor of ATMs in the
United States.
Logility acquires Demand Management
Atlanta-based Logility Inc. recently bought certain assets and the
distribution channel of privately-held Demand Management Inc. for $9.5
million in cash.
St. Louis-based Demand Management provides supply chain planning systems
marketed under the Demand Solutions brand. Demand Management will
immediately become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atlanta-based Logility
and Mike Campbell, president and CEO of Demand Management, will remain
with the company as president of the new subsidiary.
Availity chooses Inflow
Inflow-Atlanta, a provider of outsourced technology services, announced
the addition of new customer Availity L.L.C., a provider of e-health
transaction services.
Availity optimizes the flow of information between health care
providers, health plans and other health care stakeholders through a
secure, collaborative Internet-based exchange, thus removing
administrative inefficiencies, reducing costs and improving the patient
experience in the health care system.
