LogicTree gains contract
College Park, Md.-based LogicTree Corp. was awarded a contract by Citco
Mutual Fund Services to provide voice automation for its Shareholder
Servicing and Transfer Agency division.
CMFS will use VoxLinx for its Financial Services Help Line to allow
callers to access account and transaction information as well as general
information about mutual funds.
LogicTree, makes voice products for the call center industry, spanning
numerous applications and vertical markets including transit,
government, and enterprise.
Strategix, Noble Steed join forces
Baltimore-based advertising agencies Strategix Advertising Inc., and
Noble Steed Associates Inc merged to form Strategix/Noble Steed Inc.
The combined firms have experience in both private and public sectors
including financial services, healthcare, retail, higher education, food
and pharmaceutical ingredients, real estate development, and technology.
The new company's offices are located in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Information security companies merge
Herndon, Va.-based Betrusted Holdings Inc. and New York-based TruSecure
Corp. announced a definitive merger agreement to create the world's
largest privately-held information security company.
With 1,000 employees, 4,000 clients worldwide and $160 million in annual
revenue, Cybertrust helps large enterprises and governments with
information security and compliance issues.
Cryptek gains Army contract
Sterling, Va.-based Cryptek Inc., a provider of network security for
government and corporate information assets, will provide the U.S. Army
with the American-made TS-21 Blackjack secure mobile communications
device (AN/UXC-10). The device is a high-resolution, photo-quality
scanner, printer, copier, secure digital facsimile, and commercial
facsimile.
Cryptek will provide the U.S. Army with the product as part of a $15.4
million subcontract through General Dynamics.
TecAccess founder to speak at conference
Debra Ruh, president and founder of Rockville, Va.-based TecAccess, will
participate at the Interagency Disability Educational Awareness Showcase
(IDEAS). The conference will be held Nov. 2nd and 3rd at the Washington.
D.C., Convention Center.
Other panelists will include Greg Pisocky, business development manager
for Adobe Systems, Joyce Miller of the U.S. Patent and Trade Office, and
Laura Keen of the Library of Congress. Mary Theofanos, computer
scientist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, will
moderate.

WebSurveyor makes top provider list
Herndon, Va.-based WebSurveyor Corp., which makes do-it-yourself online
surveys, was included in the Software 500, Software Magazine's list of
the world's foremost software and services providers.
WebSurveyor climbed 20 spots in the rankings to number 462. WebSurveyor
boasted revenue growth of 60 percent over 2003. The Software 500 is a
revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services
suppliers targeting enterprise IT organizations.
WebSurveyor also said it released a new web polling tool. The
customizable tool allows users to create a poll to be posted on a Web
site at no charge.
Indus hires Fulford as VP
Vienna, Va.-based Indus Corp., a federal IT solutions provider,
appointed Don Fulford senior vice president for corporate development.
Fulford, who will be based in the company's Research Triangle Park,
N.C., office, was previously with several federal agencies, including
HHS, EPA, and USDA.
Prism updates EventTracker
Columbia, Md.-based Prism Microsystems Inc., a maker of event and
configuration management software, released version 4.6 of its
EventTracker event management software.
New features include graphical trend analysis, support for Boolean
operators to filter policy definitions, and new knowledge packs for
UNIX/SYSLOG sources.
