ANTs begins software alliance program
Burlingame-based ANTs Software Inc., a developer of SQL database
management systems, unveiled its ANTs Software Alliance Program (ASAP).
The program was created to extend the capabilities of the ANTs data
server to markets and customers serviced by resellers, OEMs, and
independent software vendors.
The new program is aimed at increasing the margins of ANTs channel
partners by lowering software, hardware and administration costs for
heavy workload, update-intensive applications.
The ANTs Software Alliance Program is targeted to reach specific markets
that require a high-performance RDBMS, such as financial services,
government, e-business, security, and health care.
DAT releases FireWire duplicator
Santa Ana-based DAT Optic Inc., a maker of optical/data storage and
CD/DVD duplication products, introduces the newest addition to their
innovative product lines, the BigStor, an external FireWire 800 HDD with
up to 800GB storage space.
The BigStor line implements a 32bit RISC processor, an operational
request block hardware coprocessor, and a buffer manager. It's aimed at
the video/audio, nearline storage, and home media server markets.
Singlefin, United Online team up
San Diego-based Singlefin, a provider of enterprise-class managed
protection services, said United Online Inc., a provider of consumer
Internet subscription services, signed an agreement which offers United
Online users added protection against viruses.
Working with such ISPs as NetZero and Juno, United Online will now offer
virus protection incorporating Singlefin's e-mail filtering technology.
TransMedia releases Colaborata 2.5
Los Angeles-based TransMedia, a maker of integrated and compatible
online media and information management and communication products,
released Colaborata 2.5.
Colaborata 2.5 is designed to reduce "digital friction" caused by the
rapid proliferation of digital files and information (music, video,
images, documents, calendars, contacts etc.) and of non-integrated,
incompatible proprietary systems used to manage digital media and
information. Colaborata 2.5 provides an entirely browser-based media
ecosystem for businesses and consumers.
Xdrive unveils 5GB virtual hard drive
Santa Monica-based Xdrive, a provider of online storage, said it's
offering 5GB of space for the same price at which it previously offered
500MB of online storage space.
Xdrive is a virtual hard drive enabling members to back up, access, and
share files anytime and anywhere. Xdrive's operates like a local "C"
drive, allowing members to drag and drop any type of file into their
Xdrive account.
Hinegardner joins Iteration2 Axapta Team
Irvine-based Iteration2, a maker of resource planning software, said
Kathy Hinegardner joined the company as a senior consultant.
Hinegardner, a 20-year veteran of the software industry with over 15
years of experience implementing Baan and ManMan manufacturing and
financial control systems, will help Iteration2 clients as they
implement Microsoft Axapta.
MasterTech picks Training4Business
San Diego-based MasterTech International Inc. chose Training4Business to
produce a suite of e-Learning courses for customer (end-user) training
using the Training4Business CourseWare Learning Management System.
The initial agreement outlines three levels of customer training
(introductory, intermediate and advanced) for the Management by
Statistics System. Conversion of MasterTech's existing training
materials to the multimedia, interactive learning methodology of
CourseWare has already begun.
