Betrusted, TruSecure merge
Herndon, Va.-based Betrusted Holdings Inc. and New York-based TruSecure
Corp. announced the completion of a previously announced merger.
The new company, known as Cybertrust, is the world's largest privately
held information security firm, with 1,000 employees, 4,000 clients
worldwide and $160 million in annual revenue.
Turtle Beach releases headphones
Yonkers-based Turtle Beach released its new ENC-S noise-canceling ear
buds.
Each ear bud includes a built-in microphone with special circuitry that
monitors noise in the listening environment and subtracts its signal
from the sound fed into the ear bud diaphragms. The result is almost
total silence as external background noise is eliminated from the music.
Unwiredtec releases ringtone conversion tool
New York-based Unwiredtec Inc. released its professional ringtone
conversion tool, Ringtone Creator 2.3.
The new version increases the number of supported ringtone formats to
24, with an average of three conversion options per format.
SkipJam teams with Toshiba
San Jose, Calif.-based Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. and
Port Chester-based SkipJam Corp. announced a strategic relationship to
provide a range of complete digital media systems based on the SkipJam
iMedia software platform and Toshiba TX System RISC microprocessors.
The Toshiba/SkipJam collaboration will provide customers with complete
reference designs, operating systems, drivers, middleware and
application layers for systems ranging from networked media players to
complete personal video recorder (PVR) solutions.
Initially, SkipJam will port its iMedia software platform to the
recently announced Toshiba TMPR4938-powered AVM49R Multimedia Reference
Platform.
Olvio releases PlusDock 1.0
Brooklyn-based Olvio IT, Inc. released the first version of its new
docking suite for the .Net Framework.
PlusDock passes all requirement tests for a docking library including
modern docking windows, redockable panels and tab pages, tabbed MDI
documents, floating windows and autohiding panels.
IDG picks MatchPoint
New York-based TripleHop Technologies, a provider of advanced search,
retrieval, and classification software solutions, said International
Data Group (IDG) selected TripleHop's MatchPoint as its corporate
services search solution to be deployed in the accounting and human
resource departments at IDG.
MatchPoint was selected by IDG for its ability to federate searches
across multiple internal repositories, which previously required
separate searches by IDG users, and to easily create and manage
metadata.
Digitech debuts ambulance call system
Briarcliff Manor-based Digitech, an ambulance reimbursement solutions
company recently released its voice-activated Ambulance Commander
Mobile.
Ambulance Commander Mobile captures calls to emergency medical services
and streamlines call management. In the ambulance, Ambulance Commander
Mobile captures data on calls, timestamps the data, and collects other
detailed trip information.
Secured Services updates Identiprise
New York-based Secured Services Inc., a maker of identity and access
management security software and services, released Identiprise 6.0.
The new version introduces expanded compliance reporting, federated
identity and user account provisioning functionality.
