Easter new NeboWeb partner

NeboWeb eMarketing, an Atlanta-based Internet marketing company, announced today the appointment of Brian Easter as Managing Partner and Head of Business Development.

Easter previously owned and operated a Web development company.

Dynamic Answers moves

Dynamic Answers, Inc., a custom software consultancy established in 1997, recently moved its offices. The new address is: One Meca Way, Norcross, GA, 30093.

Dynamic Answers specializes in deployment of Web-based business applications.

Harland to buy Cincinnati software maker

Atlanta-based Harland Financial Solutions Inc. intends to expand its outsourcing services by buying Cincinnati-based Intrieve Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Harland Financial Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlanta-based John H. Harland Co., expects the deal to close by the end of March.

Intrieve provides software and technology for financial institutions and has more than 800 clients.

Kennesaw plans security conference

Kennesaw State University's Continuing Education and the Atlanta High Tech Crime Investigation Association will co-host a four-day conference at Kennesaw State University beginning March 1 to discuss, practice and implement ways to protect tech investments.

Conference speakers are to include Kevin Beaver, author of "Hacking for Dummies," Wade Grant, program coordinator with the National White Collar Crime Center, and Elizabeth Griffin, co-author of "Cybersex Unhooked."

The conference will also include two mock trials with legal and forensic experts and a three-hour panel discussion entitled "Securing the Enterprise," featuring CISOs from major Atlanta corporations including Gene Scriven of Home Depot.

Norwegian company buys N2 Broadband

Tandberg Television of Norway bought N2 Broadband Inc. of Atlanta for $118 million in Tandberg stock and cash.

Lysaker, Norway-based Tandberg Television will absorb N2 and the company will operate under the name of Tandberg Television in all markets. The company will be based in Atlanta, with a development facility in Denver and sales offices on the East Coast, West Coast and in Canada. It will have about 180 employees.

N2 President and CEO Reggie Bradford has been named president of Tandberg Television Inc.

N2 makes software that allows cable system operators to offer such services as video on demand.

Dell seeks innovative small businesses

Dell Inc. is teaming with the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) to recognize successful small businesses using technology in innovative ways.

The winner of the 2005 award will receive $30,000 in technology and professional services from Dell; a "Day with Dell" program with Dell executives; a lifetime membership to NFIB; and other prizes. Nine finalists will receive a Dell Latitude notebook and a one-year membership to NFIB. Selection of the winner will be announced later this year.

Entrants must be a small business with 100 employees or fewer. The company must show how it has used information technology to drive a significant change and/or develop a competitive advantage in delivering superior customer value and experience, including customer case studies. Spunlogic picks Silverpop

Spunlogic, an interactive marketing and technology company, selected Atlanta-based Silverpop to execute email marketing campaigns in conjunction with its Online Behavior practice.

Spunlogic conducts in-depth research to gain an understanding into the online behaviors of the client's target audience. Once Spunlogic identifies the key elements that will influence click-through and conversion rates, they utilize Silverpop's email marketing technology to segment, test and execute each campaign.
