Web site spotlights Camden incubator

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority has launched a Web site for the technology center its building on Camden's waterfront.

The site, at www.waterfronttechcenter. com, gives the building's features and specifications, renderings and site plans of the building, and tells who to contact for leasing information.

The building has 100,000 square feet of space on five stories and is designed to accommodate high-tech and life-sciences companies. It is scheduled to be completed early next year.

Planitroi debuts newsletter

The Turning Point, a new newsletter designed to serve the needs of IT managers through enterprise scale management of their IT assets and the execution of strategies that serve as solutions to achieving the highest return on their IT investments, is now available from Denville-based Planitroi.

Covering end-of-life (EOL) IT asset management topics, The Turning Point is intended to start a dialog among IT managers to assist them in meeting Federal compliance laws.

Garcia joins NJIT board

Elizabeth Garcia, public affairs manager for Infineum, joined the Newark-based New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Board of Trustees.

The NJIT Board of Trustees is the legal governing body of the university; its members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the state Senate.

Garcia, of North Bergen, was born and raised in Cuba. For more than 20 years at Exxon, Garcia was involved in the planning, design and start-up of worldwide refineries and chemical plants.

NJIT also announced the appointment of civil engineer and natural disaster specialist Priscilla Nelson, Ph.D., to the position of provost.

Nelson, a senior executive at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a former University of Texas professor, is internationally recognized for achievements in engineering research and education, and her service in leadership roles and professional societies.

Oki Data debuts signage product

Mount Laurel-based Oki Data Americas Inc., a provider of innovative digital printing products, services and solutions, introduced its Color Signage Solution that enables retail customers to produce a full range of professional-quality signage and materials in-store. The solution combines Oki Data's innovative software applications, signage media and award-winning digital color printers.

With the signage capabilities from Oki Data, retailers can generate new materials on a variety of media immediately in their stores. The company said that capability can effectively eliminate the 3- to 10-day lead time often required for hard-copy materials to be printed outside the store and shipped.

Creative Manager updates product

Lakewood-based Creative Manager, Inc., maker of Creative Project Manager and Creative Manager Pro, announced the release of version 7.5.

The new version adds features to more easily manage schedules using multiple task assignments. Among the new financial reports that were added are Cash Basis Income Statements, and Statement of Cash Flow.

Current clients are being offered free training in order to take advantage of the new features.

No installation or conversion will be necessary, and the update is free to all users of Creative Project Manager and Creative Manager Pro.

NJTC to hold PLM seminar

The New Jersey Technology Council will hold a seminar on product lifecycle management on March 1 at 5 p.m. at the Rutgers Administrative Services Building III in New Brunswick.

At this roundtable discussion participants will discuss how technology manufacturers are using PLM to reduce product time-to-market, unit costs and administrative overhead.

The discussion will also explore PLM adoption strategies, including organizational culture and technology integration issues. A demonstration of new PLM technology will also be available after the discussion.
