ARHD expands headquarters
Eldersburg-based
America's Remote Help Desk (ARHD) said it has grown out of its existing
headquarters and is leasing additional office space.
America's
Remote Help Desk has hired an additional seven employees since August
and there are now 25 staff members.
ARHD, founded in 1999,
provides Help Desk Support and IT services to 72 Mid Atlantic based
organizations. ARHD offers a complete technical solution for all types
of industry by providing end user support, project planning and
implementation.
ASCII teams with KeaneTel
New Jersey-based KeaneTel and the Bethesda-based ASCII Group
signed a definitive agreement to jointly promote VoIP, voice, data,
Internet access, VPNs, and other services provided by KeaneTel's
portfolio of telecom carriers, through the ASCII Group membership to the
small and mid sized business marketplace across North
America.
KeaneTel estimates the value of this agreement will
exceed $50 million in carrier revenues.
Spider
Strategies establishes Latin presence
Distric-based Spider
Strategies Inc. announced the launch of Spider Strategies Latin America
Corp., through a strategic partnership with HYT Consulting, one of Latin
America's leaders in business performance management analysis. This
partnership will allow Spider Strategies to provide Latin American users
with its performance management suite, Scoreboard.
In Central and
South America, the Caribbean, and Mexico, Scoreboard will now be fully
accessible in Spanish. Scoreboard automatically detects the global
location of the browser it is being accessed in, and will display the
application in the native language.
Redwood, Approva
team up
Reston-based Redwood Software, which makes process
automation and information management products, and Approva Corp., which
makes continuous controls intelligence software, will co-develop a
pre-packaged solution that directly integrates with SAP MIC technology.
The Management of Internal Controls (MIC) tool within mySAP ERP
Financials helps SAP customers to certify the accuracy of quarterly and
annual financial statements by controlling, evaluating and reporting on
internal procedures.
Secure Elements teams with Enira
Herndon-based Secure Elements Inc., which makes enterprise
vulnerability management and compliance risk reduction products,
announced a strategic partnership with network solutions provider Enira
Technologies, which is based in Reston.
The collaboration
delivers an advanced, integrated solution that enables enterprise
customers and service providers worldwide to protect their networks from
the increasing threats of unmitigated vulnerabilities, compliance risk
exposures, and emerging exploits.
Digital Management
hires Stouffer
Bethesda-based Digital Management Inc. which
makes secure e-government products, named Debra Stouffer to lead its
business development efforts.
Stouffer joins Digital Management
after two years with BAE Systems, Government Enterprise Solutions as
vice president of Business Development and
Marketing.
Video Convergence to work for Alameda County
Springfield-based Video Convergence, the video surveillance
products and integration services division of Cornet Technology, Inc.
(CTI), will be installing an intelligent transportation system for the
county of Alameda, Calif., on roads currently under construction, that
will provide access to a future Ikea store in Dublin, Calif.
CTI
will integrate this new system into the established ITS along the I-580
Smart Corridor.
Funded by Alameda County and managed by Ikea, the
installation of the new ITS segment will include video surveillance of
the new roads and intersections that are being constructed around the
store. The project will require CTI to install approximately one-half
mile of new fiber cables to provide communications between the new
intersections and the Traffic Operations Center.
