Evaluators also noted the KODAK i1400 Series Scanners’ “ability to scan in a wide variety of weight and sizes of documents will make this a big boon in an accounting office, a medical office, or anywhere else where flexible paper handling is an important feature.” ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 17—Selected from among hundreds of products, eight KODAK document imaging scanner models, including two just announced, earned the Editor’s Choice designation for excellence in the Better Buys for Business 2007 Scan-to-File Guide. Cited for a number of features including versatility, power, speed and rugged paper handling, the KODAK i1210/i1220, i1310/i1320, i1420/i1440 and i810/i820 Scanners were selected from a field of all major manufactures’ document imaging equipment.

Kodak’s i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners  earned the distinction for innovative space saving design, versatile document feeders and, as noted in the Guide, Kodak’s “smart touch” operation that “lets users choose from scan-to-file, scan-to-email, scan-to-print, or scan to a variety of image formats using one button.”

 “Perfect Page image processing features, including deskew (distortion correction), autocrop, electronic color dropout, brightness and contrast adjustment, and background color smoothing” were listed among the reasons the i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners landed at the top of the 2007 Scan-to-File Guide list of products that provide the best performance and represent the best value.
