RationalPlan added SSL support for their assignments email notification tool. This means that users will benefit both from a secured connection to send email notifications and have the possibility to send emails without the need to maintain a SMTP server. More exactly this means that anyone can use RationalPlan to send emails to resources by using a free email server like the one provided by Google, the Gmail service. Hence all it is needed for one to use this feature is to create a free Google account and use it while establishing the email server settings in RationalPlan products. With this feature RationalPlan makes a step forward in enhancing it's collaboration support for users.

More changes were made to the interface in order to make it easier to use, more suggestive or to better integrate with the platform specific look and feel. To be mentioned: on Mac OS X the table grid (alternating rows) is now extended over the charts, users have now the possibility to directly create different dependency types, project estimated start date can be shown on charts, and so on.

Also some important bug fixes are related to the import/export of MS Project files.
