Sygic officially launched the new GPS navigation software for B2B/B2C market for a wide range of mobile devices

Sygic launched the new navigation software for a wide range of mobile devices with friendly user interface. End-users, retailers, system integrators and mobile device manufacturers will be profitting from the new device/phone model that is introduced to the market. Sygic meets all of the requirements regardless of the type of device, operation system, or screen size.

Sygic GPS navigation software already supports all Windows CE devices with ARM, x86, MIPS processors, Windows Mobile, Microsoft Smartphone, Windows XP/Vista, and now also Symbian operating systems. By the end of 2007, Sygic will launch the product for Blackberry, UIQ and Linux mobile phones. Thanks to unique multiplatform technology, the software brings incredibly fast performance and very easy porting process to any mobile device.

Sygic guarantees the compatibility with all new devices running on any of the supported operating systems. This facilitates the launching of the new products with GPS navigation solution for manufacturers, system integrators and OEMs.

Unique features for end-user customers:

2 seconds startup time, high screen refresh rate in navigation mode, fast city/street list searching in big cities, real-time landscape/portrait

Intelligent keyboard, history of previously selected cities/streets, navigate to POI in city, postal code, GPS position, city center, home and more,

Important POI on route, railway-corssing warnings, automatic day/night colors switching, adjusting of volume and zoom according to speed, smart backlight switching, 3D view with next street hint, avoiding of roadblocks, computing alternative routes, managing and storing itineraries, world clock and synchronization with satellite time.

Unique features for device manufacturers:

1.    Vector graphics of the user interface - the software automatically adapts to any screen resolution

2.    Driver technology - the OEM vendor can setup most of the reliable functions of its hardware, such as voice output, keyboards, voice mutexing, software events, com ports, battery, backlight, volume, GPS port.

3.    UI customization - The user-interface can be customized in splash screen, copyrights, colors, icons.

Unicode - The software is fully unicode, so far all the texts and maps are supported in Unicode and ready for the native languages. Due to unicode technology and the one translation file the Sygic navigation software can be easily translated to any language in 1 day.

The software already supports 19 languages and voice guidance including Czech, Danish, Polish, Dutch, English, Finish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish as well as Arabic, Hebrew, Greek, Turkish.

The mobile market is very dynamic, constantly introducing new devices. Sygic is touching the top of trends trying to understand the needs of the mobile and PNA manufacturers and that's why Sygic prepared the GPS navigation software that is easily customizable even by the manufacturers. Due to “driver“ technology and source code provided by Sygic, the device manufacturer may customize all the necessary components to make the software perfectly fit its device in a very short time.
This includes screen, keypads, voice ouput, software event, com ports, backlight and others. Due to vector graphics of the user interface, the software automatically adapts to any screen resolution and makes distributors and OEMs ready for any device with navigation ability.
