Phoenix, AZ  – Tech Herd, a national IT solutions provider for small business and residential customers, announced today their plans to offer on-site and remote support services throughout Canada. Tech Herd is a Phoenix AZ based company founded and led by a former executive of Geeks On Call with operations based in Norfolk, VA.

Tech Herd has offered on-site and remote support services throughout the entire United States since its inception in early 2007. A majority of Tech Herd services are provided remotely through the internet using industry leading tools that allows a certified technician to solve computer issues while a customer observes. For on-site services, Tech Herd relies on over 3,000 certified technicians located throughout the United States and now Canada. These technicians must complete a stringent background review prior to being accepted as a technician within the company.

CEO and Founder Michael Vanderslice stated “I have always looked forward to national expansion and Canada was the first logical step as we move towards other international markets. Providing the best service possible is the key to our success” stated Vanderslice. Mr. Vanderslice was instrumental in the start-up and growth of Geeks On Call serving as the company’s Vice President of Operations from 2001 through 2006. During this time Mr. Vanderslice led the company’s growth to over 350 locations in 30 markets throughout the United States. Mr. Vanderslice, along with the rest of the founding executive team, left Geeks On Call in early 2006, shortly after the company was named by Entrepreneur Magazine’s as the top new franchise company.
