This secure shopping service allows users to buy products online anonymously, by maintaining a data wall between buyers and online merchants. You register, download the software, select a user name and passphrase, and enter credit card and shipping information. Then you can shop at participating merchants. After filling the shopping cart, you can select eCogNito on the checkout page, enter a username and passphrase, and enter a shipping address nickname. After a verification process, eCogNito fills the merchant's checkout page with encrypted data. The merchant packs the order and applies a code which is later scanned by the shipper and translated to the actual address. The relabeled package is delivered via selected carrier.
