FixWindows.com: The Windows 95 / 98 / NT Troubleshooting Site
This is a great site for free Windows 95/98 tech support. For solutions to common Windows problems, you can start with the Troubleshooting Flowcharts section, select the OS and general category of your problem, and follow the steps in the order listed. You can also read the "how to" guides on performing common tasks in Windows, and a list of recommended manuals. If your problem still isn't solved, you can refer to the extensive list of manufacturer support numbers and links to Other Sites Willing to Help. Advanced users can check the Tips & Tricks section to learn how to customize the Windows environment. Other features of the site are news and helpful articles about Windows, and a side-by-side comparison of Win98, Win95 and OSR2. The Windows 98 One-Stop Upgrade Shop has all the information you need to move to Microsoft's latest OS, plus an updated list of Windows 98 incompatibilities and fixes. Stroud's Consummate Winsock Applications
The Consummate Winsock Apps List aims "to help users stay current on the latest, greatest Internet applications for Windows 3.x/95/NT." Visitors can travel to the 16-bit Main Menu for applications that run on Windows 3.x and/or Windows 95, to the 32-bit Main Menu for applications that run on Windows 95 and or Windows NT, or to one of several other specialized pages.
