Description:
Smallbiztechnology.com, a respected resource for small and mid-sized businesses looking to harness technology to boost their sales, announced today the launch of the Taste of Technology Small Business Series to provide small business owners with a fresh approach to finding realistic and affordable ways of incorporating technology in their businesses.  The first event, entitled Mobility for Small Businesses: Being Productive & Connected out of the Office will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 6:30PM – 8:30PM. at the Samsung Experience in the Time Warner Center.
“Business owners want to know what resources are available for their business, but often don’t have time to investigate,” said Ramon Ray, Editor of Smallbiztechnology.com. “The Taste of Technology series provides business owners a forum to review and consider the value of incorporating various technologies into their businesses.” Mr. Ray points out that with the abundance of technologies for today’s small business environment, it’s important for professionals to leverage the most innovative technologies for their businesses.
The event, held at the Samsung Experience Center, is an interactive discussion with a panel of experts that includes Stephen Wellman, Director of Community and Content at Ziff Davis Enterprise, Matt Sarrel, Executive Director at Sarrel Group, Laura Forlano of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, and Bill Rom, managing partner at 151 Ventures. The program will include topics ranging from what mobility means to small businesses to choosing the right hardware and software to developing a lasting mobile strategy. Attendees may register today at http://smallbiztechnology.com/tasteoftechnology/.
“The Taste of Technology series aims to inform people about small business technology from multiple angles—not just alerting them to equipment and programs they may not have known existed, but the impact of mobile technology, in the case of this first event of the series, in the marketplace,” said Stephen Wellman, event co-moderator. “And given the breadth of the experience of panelists, I have no doubt we will accomplish this.”
