This release introduces a new social page that allows WinePoynt users the opportunity to see what wines others drink, rate or add to their public lists. This new release for Android mobile devices also gives user the ability to create public notes and attach lists to specific locations. [LPI-News] Linux Professional Institute Expands Training Partner Program in 2012

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization (http://www.lpi.org), announced that in 2012 they grew their training partner program to include 322 participating organizations (up more than 5% from just over 300 partners in 2011). The most significant change in version 5 is the new Timesheets Web Enterprise edition. Will BlackBerry 10 Help Revive RIM?

Research In Motion (RIM) is set to launch its new BlackBerry 10 platform in late January. While signs of life have emerged for RIM, will the new launch be enough to help RIM compete with Androids or iPhones? Tech Expert Karl Volkman explains what is needed from RIM in the coming months.

According to Volkman, RIM is behind of a few key components compared to its top competitors. “Consumers decided to ditch their BlackBerry devices for smartphones with faster browsers, easy to use touch screens and a big platform for applications,” says Volkman. “The new BlackBerry 10 system is said to have productivity tools, a faster browser and 4G capabilities, which will make it competitive with current smartphones.” Additional new features include advanced security measures as BlackBerry 10 won’t allow users to implement weak passwords.

SBA Approves More than $150 Million in Disaster Loans To Hurricane Sandy Survivors

A month after Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast, the U.S. Small Business Administration has approved more than $150 million in low-interest disaster loans to about 2,500 homeowners, renters and businesses in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

“During the past month I’ve visited disaster centers and spoken with people who are struggling to reclaim communities and businesses that were devastated by Hurricane Sandy, and I was impressed by their determination to rebuild stronger,” said SBA Administrator Karen G. Mills.  “The SBA is there to support the long-term recovery of the disaster areas, and we will make sure that as many people as possible get the help they need to become whole again.”
