GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has released its upgraded 2812EVM-II DSP emulation board which is optimized for driving and controlling motor systems based on TMS320F2812 series DSPs. The evaluation board is resistant to electro-magnetic interference (EMI) from the computing unit as it uses an independent power supply for A/D sampling. It supports 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. The board provides on-board VL-Bus and data, address, control access terminals.
The 2812EVM-II DSP emulation board features 128k*16 bit on-chip flash program memory, an extended SARM, a 4k*16 BOOT ROM and a 1k*16OTP ROM on-chip. It has eight LEDs for status indication and also offers nine independent push switches for configuration. The board has an RS-232 interface for PC communication and a 10M Ethernet interface compatible with NE2000 as well as interface/driver circuits for DC and servo motors. The evaluation board offers CLK, CS2, CS6, RD, WR, CS1571, RS1581, EVA, EVB, and IN1 to IN8, OUT1 to OUT8 signal testing points and debugging points. Additionally, the power source is selectable by setting jumpers to select external power supply or USB interface.
