AccessoryGeeks, a leading online retailer of cell phone accessories, iPod accessories, and iPad accessories, announced that they will be holding their second annual free Halloween Costume Exchange in less than a week. Leg Avenue joined the Geeks efforts to reach out to the community through the Halloween Costume Exchange. This community event was planned in an effort to help ease the financial burden of buying a costume for many families from near and far.
The event will be held on October 22, 2011 from 9am – 2pm PST at the Geeks Headquarters in City of Industry, California. Leg Avenue provided brand new costumes that will be up for grabs come Saturday morning. The idea of the costume exchange is for parents or guardians to bring clean, gently used costumes to the Halloween Costume Exchange. The Geeks will have the new costumes as well as costumes that were brought by other parents on display. Each costume will be worth one ticket. Once the perfect costume is found, the ticket will be exchanged for the costume and the happy child can head over to the activities area for fun time.
The Geeks hope that they can give back to the community that has surrounded them for the past 8 years and lend them a helping hand this Halloween. During the Halloween Costume Exchange, the Geeks have also planned games, activities, snacks, and a bouncer for kids to come and enjoy. This is a free event and is open to anyone and everyone. Although the costumes should be appropriate for infants and children up to the age of 12, the Geeks encourage children young and old to come down and hang out, or just say hello.
Karen Kang, Vice President of AccessoryGeeks shared, “AccessoryGeeks strives to not only provide great service to our customers but also to our community. We hope that the Halloween Costume Exchange will provide a safe environment for families to come, find a costume at no cost, & have a good time with their kids and the Geeks.”
The Geeks will also be handing out goody bags filled with fun treats for the kids as well as safety tips. These safety tips are chalk full of pearls of wisdom spoken from The Geeks, who know a thing or two about damage control. The Geeks hope that everyone has a safe and fun Halloween with a costume or two that they found at the Halloween Costume Exchange.
