The new version, Sales Commission Basic, allows calculation of commissions on a line-by-line basis, for a given product / service, and for all transactions within a specified period. This depth and granularity singularly distinguishes the software from other products of similar functionality, where users have to make do with calculating commissions on the total for an entire period.
Another enhancement is that users can now assign any of the several commission formulae available in the software, to each item, product, service, or even salesperson, differently. For instance, the commission for sale of product X may be calculated based on formula A, while commission for sale of product Y may be calculated on some other formula. Similarly, individual salespersons may be given commissions based on different calculations. Further, the commissions-payable information for any given salesperson can be adjusted as per the demands of the situation, whilst retaining the original calculated amounts. This makes the software truly versatile and responsive to management needs.
Sales managers can now have Commissions-Earned, Commissions-Payable and Commissions-Paid reports on their table when they sit for performance review meetings with salespersons.
