AKos GmbH Announces the Adoption of ChemAxon Marvin Java Applet as Structure Editor in CWM Global Search, the Internet Search Engine for Chemists and Biologists

Germany February 8, 2011

CWM Global Search is a web application running on both Windows and Macintosh computers and allows searching the Internet by structure, name, CAS Registry Number or free text. CWM Global Search is not a database, such as PubChem or ChemSpider. Instead, this application performs a true meta search over currently more than 50 data sources relevant for chemists and biologists. Results from the search are aggregated in a list of links sorted according to their source. The true meta search approach enables the user to always search the most current snapshot of the Internet. By using Microsoft’s Silverlight technology, CWM Global Search is one of the first RIA (Rich Internet Application) for scientists. This combines the convenience of using a web browser as client with a user interface as rich and with as much comfort as that of a desktop application.
