Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) February 27, 2012

Members of the U.S. military put their lives on the line every day to protect our freedoms, and the military armor community has made great strides in improving the protective equipment that enables more of these military members to come home from battle safely. The sixth-annual Military Armor Protection Conference, organized by the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement and chaired by American armor company Amendment II, provides a forum for experts from across military and private sectors to exchange ideas on the technology and challenges of today and tomorrow.

Armor protection professionals will gather Feb. 27 – 29, 2012, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va., to discuss protective equipment for vehicles and personnel, as well as the current requirements, latest advancements and needed developments in the field of military armor.

Derek Williams, president of Amendment II, said his company is honored to chair this year’s conference.

“We are looking forward to the exchange of ideas among this powerhouse of military armor professionals, and to seeing how our technology can play a role in the innovation of new solutions for armor protection,” Williams said.

Amendment II ( is the developer of the armor protection system RynoHide™, a soft, flexible, lightweight armor technology that provides ballistic protection for vehicles and personnel with less weight than traditional armor products. Williams said his company is eager to show the technology to key decision-makers who will be implementing future armor solutions, and to learn about anticipated military protection needs.
