ATC Logistics & Electronics (ATCLE) has introduced a transportation management system (TMS) to help customers significantly reduce transportation expense. Reduces customers’ supply chain costs and increases efficiencies
FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 13, 2009 – ATC Logistics & Electronics (ATCLE), a subsidiary of ATC Technology Corporation (ATC) (NASDAQ:ATAC), has introduced a transportation management system (TMS) to help customers significantly reduce transportation expense.
ATCLE selected LeanLogistics’ On-Demand TMS® tool. LeanLogistics is a global leader in innovative on-demand transportation technology and supply chain services with a sole focus on TMS. The system was selected because of the flexibility of its innovative web-based platform.
“We are committed to delivering solutions that will cut costs for our customers and this new service will maximize every transportation dollar they spend,” said Antony Francis, president of ATCLE. “The offering supports our commitment to work with customers to generate substantial long-term savings for them via our closed-loop approach to supply chain management. It is yet another service that allows them to leverage our resources as a variable cost, rather than investing in and maintaining their own TMS.”
ATCLE will utilize the TMS to create economies of scale by optimizing orders into multi-stop full truck loads, and “rate shop” the remaining less than truck-load orders to identify the most economical carrier for the lowest rates possible. The company will coordinate and manage all shipments in real time via online monitoring, from pick-up to delivery. The system will also supplement customers’ transportation departments with automated invoicing and auditing.
With the TMS, ATCLE strives to create a paperless system for transportation documentation, in conjunction with internal and external initiatives, to reduce environmental impact.
