Davivienda highlighted three critical factors that led to its decision:
- First, is the bank’s goal to enhance the consumer’s ATM experience, which will facilitate the customer’s ease of use and interactivity with the terminal;
- Secondly, having a single vendor for its ATM network provides the ability to make immediate changes to the bank’s self-service channel quickly and efficiently; and
- Thirdly, the network management solution will help increase terminal uptime, providing consumer convenience.
"We chose Diebold because of its leasing model as it gave us the opportunity to act very quickly and start the project immediately," Duran said.
The outsourcing agreement includes: installation of approximately 1,260 ATMs, Agilis® software, and remote management and maintenance services for the bank’s entire ATM fleet. Of the bank’s network of nearly 1,400 ATMs, approximately 1,260 Diebold Opteva® ATMs have been deployed under the agreement to date. In addition to the outsourcing agreement, Davivienda has also selected Diebold to provide security solutions for its ATM network.
"The process was easy, and the benefits can be seen today," Duran said. "The project was set up very quickly. At first, we were installing 60 machines per month and we increased our installations to 100 terminals per month. This agreement allows us to be innovative, have other features that the ATMs do not currently have, such as marketing campaigns and surveys. It has also allowed us to make quick decisions."
