Boutique Accessories has just been featured in the Shop Smart section of the Sunday Telegraph and Sunday Herald Sun.
The online fashion accessories store showcases established and up-and-coming fashion accessory brands such as Mezi, Sophie Kyron, Aliss & Ena, Lili & Pea and Attica.
The site was featured thanks to ‘Shop Queen’ Kathy Sheeran, who kindly shared the website and it’s unique online shopping application, the Virtual Mirror, with her readers.
Kathy is a self-confessed Shopaholic and regular writer for the Daily Telegraph. Along with regular TV appearances, Kathy also writes her own blog http://shoppingconfessions.com.au/ where readers can stay up to date with Kathy’s most recent shopping adventures!
The feature of the site that first captured Kathy’s attention was the Virtual Mirror, an application that uses a customer’s webcam to allow them to try on jewellery as if looking into a real mirror. The application automatically detects a customer’s face and neck and places the jewellery on them in the correct position.
The Virtual Mirror is the first in Australia and for the first time, online shoppers can see a product in context before deciding whether to purchase online.
Kathy loves that you can ‘try’ the jewellery on before you buy and Boutique Accessories are happy to have her as an advocate of the website.
“We love Kathy’s regular column and are thrilled to be showcased in Kathy’s Shop Smart section!” said Founder Claire Anstee.
Boutique Accessories was one of 8 sites featured in the online advisor section covering a variety of sectors including Beauty, Accessories, Toys and Swimwear.
Sunday Telegraph and Sunday Herald Sun readers were offered an exclusive 20% discount for all orders over $40 by entering the discount code ‘shopsmart’ at checkout. The discount voucher is valid until 11th December 2011 and the site also offers free shipping.
The Virtual Mirror can be found at http://www.boutiqueaccessories.com.au/virtualmirror where it is available for all site visitors to browse.
