Build Interactive Digital Timelines of your Web Social Life with WhenInTime

1)    Go to http://whenintime and click on the “Create Timeline” button and enter the requested data (such as Timeline title, description etc.)
2)    Next “Add Events” either manually one at a time or based on data feeds from YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, Picasa or a generic RSS Feed
3)    Optionally select your template, theme and change the background image. The templates provide different layouts of events and the themes help control the coloring scheme.

The templates enable users to setup their timelines according to the data they are dealing with. For e.g. using the “Lane” template is ideal for users who have data from multiple feed sources compacted over a small period of time.

A user can choose to make the timeline publicly visible to everyone or just to a selected group of people or just to themselves. It is also possible to choose who can add/edit/remove events from the timeline. This is ideal for group collaboration activities such as school projects where the teacher can setup the timeline and students can then add to it.

Best of all WhenInTime is free to use. Users can register for a free account. The user interface is clutter-free and very easy to navigate.

Looking forward, users can expect WhenInTime to add more templates, themes and data feed sources.

Note to media / bloggers: Screenshots, Logos, Introductory and Tour videos are all available by request at pr(at)whenintime(dot)com.
