Dr. Sullivan provides Active Release Techniques care for the runners at The National Police Challenge on May 14th, 2010. “With this race being so early into the season, we saw more muscle strains and overuse injuries as the runners are just getting into their season,” says Dr. Sullivan.
Active Release Techniques (ART) is a state of the art patented soft tissue technique designed to fix the injuries that occur to the muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves. ART can also be used to increase the athletes performance by loosening up tight muscles and preparing the athletes body for the race, because a tight muscle is a weaker muscle. This technique is great at healing injuries that occur from repetitive strain such as training for a running race.
