The Dexter Industries WiFi Sensor connects to the Internet and other wireless devices as well. The sensor can communicate information on LEGO robots to web browsers and even popular websites, such as Twitter. Dexter Industries will celebrate the release of the the WiFi Sensor by dubbing the upcoming week, “WiFi Week.” Each day it will publish a new tutorial which will demonstrate the WiFi Sensor’s capabilities.
The WiFi Sensor was first seen by the public on BotBench.com, a popular LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT website, where users around the world were able to wirelessly control a robot in the Netherlands, using a robot built by BotBench.com and a Dexter Industries WiFi Sensor.
The WiFi sensor supports TCP communications, HTTP communications, UDP communications, Adhoc networks, WEP networks, WPA networks, and WPA2 networks.
