Dr. Jack Holladay Article on Improving Toric IOL Outcomes Recently Published in Ocular Surgery News

Bellaire, TX – Dr. Jack Holladay, 41 year ophthalmology veteran that specializes in refractive surgery, was recently published in Ocular Surgery News. The article, titled, “Improving Toric IOL Outcomes”, was published in the May 25, 2011 and June 10, 2011 issues of Ocular Surgery News.
In the article, Dr. Jack Holladay discusses the increase in reducing patient’s ocular astigmatism with toric IOL’s and addresses the potential pitfalls with this emerging technology and procedure. The two-part series specifically addresses: measuring corneal astigmatism, toric IOL calculators, toric optimizer, choosing the residual astigmatic target, proper IOL alignment and centration, and managing unfortunate outcomes of residual astigmatism and higher order aberrations.
