The devices are activated by the movement of vehicle tires/wheels causing spindles to create a rotational motion in a turbine-free electricity generator. The generator(s) can be in place or offset. The Kineto devices can be single or manifold in-line on roads and highways.
According to Stein, Chairman of Kineto Power Generation, “The generated electricity will be connected to the power grid. In addition, Kineto can be used to power nearby lighting systems, even electric and hybrid vehicles. "
The transmission of electricity reflects 50% of the cost to utility companies. Kineto transmission costs are zero (0).
Stein says, "There are over 200,000,000 passenger cars, buses, taxis and trucks crossing over arterials, collectors, roads and streets in metropolitan areas where power needs are greatest. Kineto systems and methods expects to exploit the movement of these vehicles to create renewable electricity to sell to utilities at competitive prices."
