Ambulos has been chosen as a 2010 Channel Chief for his leadership of EMC’s global go-to-market strategy for the company’s solution provider and distribution partners, including overseeing several new programs which have increased VAR enablement, service delivery, and partner profitability. Ambulos launched significant enhancements to the EMC® Velocity™ Solution Provider Program, designed to help EMC resellers differentiate their business, provide more value to customers, and supply opportunities to increase overall profitability. These changes include simplified program entry, time-efficient training, access to EMC’s broad portfolio of industry-leading information infrastructure products and solutions, and new Specialty designations that expand partners’ expertise and meet their unique business objectives. Another critical 2010 achievement was EMC’s increase in the number of active selling partners contributing revenue to EMC, with year-over-year incremental revenue produced by the partner community increasing more than 40 percent.
This year’s Channel Chiefs were chosen by the Everything Channel editorial staff based on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue generated through partners, willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years dedicated to channel activities.
