EScholar to Support Teacher Evaluation and Teacher Effectiveness Initiatives Toward Improving Instructional Practice

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Feb. 22, 2011 July 2011

In accepting ARRA and SFSF funding from the US Department of Education, state education agencies must articulate plans for measuring and evaluating teacher effectiveness in improving student outcomes.  eScholar has been working with customers to enhance eScholar CDW-PK12 to more completely support these requirements.  What has emerged from this collaboration is not only an expansion of the scope of data managed by eScholar CDW-PK12, but refinement and improvement of linkages among existing data sets to more tightly integrate and represent the relationships between teachers, their students, the courses teachers and students are associated with, and the assessments administered to those students relative to their course of study.
