ROCKVILLE, Md. July 19, 2011 $18 million
FedStore teamed with Dell, Inc. who provided the laptops to fulfill the contract.
The contract, awarded in September of 2010, was completed in a timely fashion in spite of several logistical challenges.
This contract is part of the VA’s ongoing efforts to upgrade and modernize the equipment it provides to its 300,000 employees.
"The VA teams worked alongside of FedStore’s teams to ensure a smooth delivery, configuration and installation of the more than 12,000 laptops," said Mr. Trahern. "This contract required a great deal of coordination and after-the-fact adjustments, as are necessary in any large procurement. We are proud of the work we’ve done and as a testament to the good work of both teams, there have been no complaints or technical support issues."
