Mirroring the theme of focusing on the future, the largest national education technology conference on the East Coast – FETC – is changing the words behind its acronym to stand for “Future of Education Technology Conference.” The various sessions and workshops will focus on progressing the event as a 21st century global ed-tech conference.
(PRWEB) October 09, 2015
FETC, the largest national education technology conference on the East Coast, announced it is changing the words behind its acronym to “Future of Education Technology Conference” to mirror the annual event’s focus on the use of the latest technology in pre-K – 12 education.
“As staying up-to-date with ed-tech advancements continues to become necessary in pre-K – 12, attendees and exhibitors alike have come to know FETC as the nation’s go-to conference for gaining insight into cutting-edge education technology,” said Mike Eason, FETC General Manger, LRP Conferences. “LRP realized the importance of embracing the fact that technology is the future of education – and we’re demonstrating that by adjusting our branding and aligning our event’s very identity with that idea.”
April 2015, FETC was acquired by LRP Conferences, an affiliate of LRP Publications, which produces more than a dozen professional conferences and trade shows year round.
To continue to position the event as a 21st century global ed-tech conference, the keynote and breakout sessions and workshops will focus on communication and collaboration; digital teaching tools and game-based learning; education policy and leadership; emerging technologies and maker tools; instructional design; mobile learning; online and blended learning; professional development; and technology infrastructure.
The 36th annual FETC 2016 is scheduled for January 12 – 15 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. It will feature more than 500 sessions and workshops, more than 400 interactive vendor exhibits plus thousands of attendees.
