Metrigraphics LLC, a leader in the flexible circuit industry, views the MD&M West show, set for February 14-16 in Anaheim, CA, as a natural venue to spotlight its expanding capabilities in the medical devices, bio medical and pharma markets.
“Our flexible circuit technology is a perfect match for the growing trends in miniaturization, analysis and instrumentation in these fields,” said Randolph Sablich, president of the Massachusetts-based technology innovator.
As an example, Sablich cited Metrigraphics’ addition of platinum to its stable of plating materials. “As a totally pure metal, platinum conducts electricity but does not react with bodily fluids, making it a perfect choice for applications like traces and neuro-stim probes,” he said.
“MD&M West is an ideal showcase for the advantages of our flexible circuit – or ‘micro flex’ – technology, which gives design engineers the ability to better control the size and electrical characteristics of devices,” Sablich said.
Metrigraphics also plans to highlight the close fit and additional manufacturing capacity it provides for second-source applications that call for the integration of its various sputtering, pattern plating and electroplating capabilities.
