The website provides detailed information on Bamboo, Cork, Engineered Wood, and laminated floors, Linoleum, Floor Tiles, Rubber, Solid Wood as well as Vinyl flooring. There is detailed information available on retailers as well as suppliers.
“Our information is quite detailed,” says the website’s spokesperson, adding, “For instance, in case of Bamboo choices, we offer info on 4 main types of Bamboo floors, the various visible grain options, 3 basic color options, as well as the finishes available.”
In a similar manner, FloorOnline.co.za also provides detailed information on other types of floors.
“Our index of retailers in South Africa is quite extensive,” says the FloorOnline.co.za spokesperson. He added, “We now have retailers listed in all 9 provinces, I am busy listing about 60 additional retailers at the moment and by the end of next week all 9 provinces will be covered.”
Through this website, visitors will be able to find the suppliers and manufacturers of different products. It informs that though most suppliers may not deal directly with an individual, the visitor can learn about the brand and the product and research on the same.
Visitors to the website can also keep themselves abreast of the latest developments in the industry, products, and brands “through the monthly newsletters issued by the manufacturers and the suppliers,” informed the spokesperson.
The website also provides a public forum for visitors to air their views on various issues regarding the industry. The responses to the queries raised in the forum are quite informative.
FloorOnline.co.za also offers a page that contains various articles of interest. Visitors to this page have an opportunity to “navigate through different flooring types and floor products, do research on floors, their history, and other articles about new developments in certain flooring types and products,” informs its spokesperson.
This page on articles was started about four months back, and the website intends “to build up an informative collection of articles for both the retailer and consumer.”
FloorOnline.co.za is also seeking contributions from people who wish to contribute flooring-related articles. In such a case, the spokesperson says, “contact us or send the article by e-mail to us on the contact page and we will get back to you.”
The spokesperson added, “We are soon coming out with detailed information on Green – Environmental Friendly – flooring, as well.”
