FMi Chemical is proud to announce its receipt of Nadcap accreditation for Nonmetallic Materials Testing. FMi was awarded accreditation from the Nadcap Management Council after successful completion of the Performance Review Institute’s (PRI) stringent, Nadcap conformity evaluation and quality standards audit.
Nadcap––the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program––is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment of special processes and procedures. The program brings together technical experts from both industry and government to establish a standardized approach to quality assurance, and the requirements for accreditation.
FMi Chemical is a manufacturer and services provider to the aerospace industry. As part of its scope of services, FMi offers quality and performance testing for nonmetallic sealants, compounds and coatings that are used in aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul. FMi received Nadcap accreditation for testing nonmetallic materials for tensile strength and elongation, hardness, the effects of liquids, deterioration in an air oven, density and specific gravity, and water absorption; as well as specific elastomer testing. A detailed list of the tests and standards is available on the company’s web site: http://www.fmichemical.com.
“We are extremely proud of the results from the PRI Nadcap standards audit,” says Bob Margolis, FMi President and CEO, and head of business development. “Adding Nadcap accreditation to our ISO/IEC 17025 standards supports our position as a trusted services provider in the aerospace marketplace.
