It isn’t often that you run across an instance where a company hires professionals to help them with something and then balks at following their recommendations. Such is the case with a company we recently ran across that hired the international marketing firm Key Difference to help increase their presence on the Internet. According to a company spokesperson, Key Difference was hired after the company’s new website optimization did nothing to increase their ranking on the world’s most popular search engine. The spokesperson says, “About six weeks after we hired the company (Key Difference), our main contact there told me that we needed to make some changes to our website. I disagreed with him – they seemed too radical, but that’s what we were paying them for, so I gave in.”
The spokesperson continues, “I took the advice they gave me and made the changes they recommended to our website. It was supposed to take around a month or so for the updates to take effect, so I didn’t make any additional tweaks even though our rank dropped a little bit.
“Today I just checked again after Google’s latest update and we’ve climbed to number 5 in the area I am most interested in. Honestly, I’ve never been able to position us on the first page before; we’ve always been on page 2 or 3, but never the first. We’ve also begun to appear on the first page for most of our related sub-terms as well. It is simply amazing.”
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard good things about http://keydifference.com. Mr KEY (as the CEO of Key Difference – Karnika E. Yashwant is fondly known) is becoming known around the world for giving clients practical advice about on-page optimization and content, linking advice, and lots more. It’s certainly a fresh and welcome concept for a marketing company that’s begun making its name well known throughout the industry.
