Frost & Sullivan Market Share Leadership Award Reinforces Novacom Europe’s Stellar Performance in the European Trailer Telematics Market

Amidst a raft of smaller companies providing low-cost, basic track-and-trace solutions, Novacom Europe has been able to advance with a strong brand image. The primary reason is that, unlike Novacom Europe, no other trailer solutions provider has specialised in the logistics segment.

"Through its broad solution, using its proprietary DG 100 platform and CLS datacenter, Novacom Europe has been able to provide the much needed mix of applications such as asset dashboard/analytics, mileage readings for trailer fleet management and trailer diagnostics for the logistics industry," adds Manohar. "In addition to providing the regular security features such as trailer door open and close, zone management (pin code unlock), electronic braking systems (EBS) and controller area network (CAN) bus connection for load detection, Novacom’s Veriwise solutions also offer unique security solutions, giving fleets direct access and visibility over their cargo," states Manohar.

Novacom Europe is the only trailer telematics service provider which is a member of the Transport Asset Protection Agency (TAPA) with their trucking security requirements (TSR). It also partners with third party security providers such as EUROWATCH to act at instant notification and escalate security related alarms, triggered for trailers with high value cargo.

"Such end-to-end cutting-edge trailer asset security has made Novacom the preferred choice of fleet managers," states Manohar. Another factor in Novacom Europe’s stellar performance has been its partnership with Qualcomm for its untethered and cold chain solution in early 2011. Moreover, a successful partnership with Goodyear, EBTS and LDL technologies has resulted in the deployment of a telematics connected tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), enhanced with an active monitoring service improving control while supporting a 90 per cent reduction in tyre-associated roadside incidents.
