Finding hard drives and PC components on the Web is easy. The tricky part is finding a company that’s reputable, affordable, and professional. Actually, that’s easy, too, as long as you go to HardDrive.com.
Finding hard drives and PC components on the Web is easy. The tricky part is finding a company that’s reputable, affordable, and professional. Actually, that’s easy, too, as long as you go to the site of Friendswood-based HardDrive.com. The company’s marketing and ad guru, Eddie Noschese, talks about gamers, screamers, and the gray market.
Why do you think there’s a need for your products?
Nowadays you need a computer to keep up. Every day the computer industry changes with new products and technology. Industries need more powerful systems to keep their businesses running faster and more efficiently. That’s what we are here for. Harddrive.com has all the latest and greatest computer components, whether it is just a USB keychain or a custom gaming rig that would just stomp all the store-bought PCs of your buddies.
Why the unique focus on gaming hardware?
The gamers are the future of the computer world. These guys are the ones who never have the door on the side of their computer. Gamers are always upgrading, and modifying. Anything to send the guy next to him crying back to mama so he can call us and turn his PC into a real screamer. Gaming is getting huge and we want to be a part of it, so if building the best gaming PC is a way that we can be a part of this fast growing business, then we are all in!
We have a real focus here on the gaming hardware as well as the gaming community in the local area. Gamers are ones to build their own systems so we have a special Build It Center at our location so the build-it-yourselfer can put their own PC together with full on-site technical support for free. We also house a 5,000-square-foot banquet facility fully loaded with gigabit and seats up to 200 gamers. So check out www. HoustonLanParty.com for some cool info on our location and some pictures of our last LAN Parties.
Do you have anything in the works for the future?
We are steadily working with our local community on growing our business and helping other businesses with their computing needs. We are increasing our on-site technician team to provide faster service and better support for the local area. We are expanding our product line into many new specialty products like security systems, home entertainment systems, and many new networking systems and installations. Our national advertising is looking to reach new levels with more print advertising and television commercials.
What are the largest challenges that you see in providing your products?
Our largest challenge in providing products is the pricing. Too many other companies, practicing in gray market and loss-leading pricing that are not compliant to manufacturer standards, make it difficult to be competitive. We have worked so hard to build our relationships with all the leading manufactures in the industry in order to sell quality products at a low price.
Every product we sell is authorized, and we will never stoop down to the gray market to be competitive on pricing. We have respect for the manufacturers that support us and we will not turn our back on them. Intel, you rock!
