The most common method of sinkhole repair is Compaction Grouting. The first stage of this process consists of inserting sections of steel casing into the ground around the perimeter of the foundation being repaired. These casings are inserted using unique drilling equipment. The standard drilling method forces water through steel casing and uses hydraulic power to rotate the casing into deep soil layers.
The TRX1000 is the most compact and powerful rig of its class. The result is a cleaner and more effective drilling process than ever before.
Cleaner: The new design eliminates messy accessories like mud tubs and uses much less water than usually associated with the drilling process. One big advantage to our new drill rig is that the Power Unit is mounted to the trailer. This important feature keeps exhaust fumes and emissions away from the home, a definite benefit when drilling interior points.
Compact: Almost as important as power, speed and efficiency is the ability to maneuver in tight spaces around homes. The TRX1000 can get in and out of the tightest spaces with minimal impact. The custom two-stage mast allows Helicon to drill inside low hung areas and under high ceilings without major equipment changes.
More Efficient: The TRX1000’s power and features result in much faster drilling, less mess, less noise and a much more efficient drilling process. A redesigned pump system gives this new drill rig the added power to perform the job in half as much time as before. The TRX1000 has successfully installed over 1000ft of drill casing in one day. The industry average is only 300-500ft per day.
Helicon is always striving to be more efficient in everything it does. The new drill rig is just one of the improvements you can expect to hear about.
