About iContact’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program
iContact formalized its corporate responsibility program in 2010 and created a dedicated position to manage the program. iContact also became a "B Corporation," meaning that a business meets specific standards of transparency in financial, social and environmental performance.
The four facets of the program include:
- 1% of payroll contributed by employees to 501(c)(3) non-profits
- 1% of employee time in paid time off to volunteer.
- 1% of product free to North Carolina non-profits.
- 1% of company equity to the iContact Foundation for further charitable pursuits.
(iContact’s founders pledged 100,000 shares of the company’s equity to the foundation, which will be established in 2011.)
Some of the non-profit organizations were:
Chapel Hill, NC
Hope Reins Raleigh Raleigh, NC
Matt Kopac [email protected]
