The volume of user-generated and professional video is exploding and web publishers, mobile operators and advertising networks have few choices to eliminate nudity, child sexual abuse images, objectionable images or gestures. Just a few quick seconds of non-compliant video next to a display ad can cost millions in lost advertising or legal exposure. This new addition to the iGuardian suite is the first automated solution that can quickly and cost-effectively identify these elements not only within images and text, but also under commercial scale video loads, blocking them before transmission occurs.
Each month, there are over 1 billion minutes of video shared on the Internet. By 2014, Cisco projects video traffic to exceed 91 percent of global consumer Internet traffic. Until now, web publishers or mobile operators had to choose between no content moderation and expensive human moderation. Without a moderation solution, inappropriate content can persist for extended periods before being reported, exposing brand advertisers to significant embarrassment and resulting in loss of revenue. To date, human moderation has been used in limited scale for still images and has proved expensive, slow and less accurate than Image Vision Labs solutions. A single iGuardian server can analyze over 50,000 minutes of video per hour.
Image Vision Labs’ iGuardian solution suite utilizes a proprietary technology to assess videos for nudity, offensive imagery, and obscene motions/gestures and scores it based upon geographical and country standards. In addition, iGuardian™ is capable of analyzing an image or video in milliseconds with selectable degrees of sensitivities and then flagging or quarantining the content for further operator-specified action.
