After years of innovations inside name brand smart phones and cars, MCNEX/Eyeclon targets American consumers with home security, driver safety and “smart” shopping products.
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) December 15, 2016
If you’ve ever experienced such innovations as iris recognition in state-of-the-art smartphones, or been alerted to unseen danger by a luxury car’s smart safety system, then you already know MCNEX/Eyeclon. After all, they’ve been supplying some of the world’s best known brands with “smart camera” technology for years. Now the Korea-based technology company is entering the U.S. consumer electronics marketplace with a full line of products for home security, after-market/dash-mounted driver safety devices, and next gen retail shopping experiences.
Today, MCNEX and its consumer-facing brand Eyeclon announce the opening of its U.S.-based subsidiary. Located in San Jose, CA, this new presence will allow the company to more readily bring its smart-camera technology to American markets.
“We like to say that we are the ‘eyes of information technology’ because our smart-cameras aren’t about capturing images; they allow hardware and software to see and react to what’s happening around it,” explains CEO Donguk Min. “With these innovations in our homes, cars and even places of business, our ability to create personalized, and often caring, interactions with technology is limited only by our imagination.”
MCNEX will unveil its new products at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. Both the B2B and consumer product offerings are first examples of the company’s overarching Internet of Things (IoT) strategy to enable a wide range of technologies with smart cameras, changing the IOT experience from simple connectivity, to one where hardware and software is able to see and react to what is happening in its surroundings.
Making the Retail Shopping Experience Smarter
At the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show, MCNEX is unveiling its new line of Smart DID (Digital Information Display) System that is poised to change the retail shopping experience. Embedded with advanced IT and biometric technology, the system customizes interactive encounters with shoppers based on gender, time of day, or virtually any other promotional driver. It can be deployed on virtually any surface capable of hosting an LCD or LED screen, including signage, transparent kiosks, countertop tablets, mirrors and even tabletops.
Consumer Electronics: Eyeclon
After years in the OEM market, MCNEX will launch its first consumer-facing brand, Eyeclon, as part of its U.S. strategy. Eyeclon will offer two lines of product designed to give consumers peace of mind whether they are at home (home security products) or away (dash-mounted driver safety units).
