Las Vegas, NV, October 19, 2020 –(PR.com)– In 2018, the Las Vegas valley had more than 10,000,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space. Lighting a large room used to require super powerful and heavy tungsten lights, thousands of yards of electrical cable and really long exposures for a photographer to expose the room properly. Las Vegas event photographer Christian Purdie utilizes a system that doesn’t require any wires, uses small highspeed strobes and extremely light carbon fiber light stands for quick mobility and lighting adjustments. This lighting system allows Christian Purdie Photography to create a photography studio at any location regardless of the venue size, the number of rooms, or the number of people occupying the space.
Las Vegas has a wide venue selection. Every Casino has a convention or conference hall, restaurants, large nightclubs and different types of rooms. Christian Purdie is a native and being a corporate event photographer in Las Vegas he understands and has experience in all of the venues. Each room brings a different set of lighting issues. Nightclubs have great house lighting systems but it doesn’t necessarily translate to well lit photographs. Convention centers are massive so any lighting system needs to be light and mobile enough to break the large space into smaller sections especially with a large number of people moving in and out of the space. Restaurants are great but have such a low light atmosphere that strobes are needed for individual shots to be properly lit. Christian is an expert at any of these lighting conditions and his lighting system is small, light, and nimble to get the proper exposure, with all of the lighting styles (loop, Rembrandt, split, etc.) while being concealed as part of the decor of the venue.
Intimate events, such as anniversaries, birthdays, family dinners and other family gatherings are treated in a manner that the photographer is like a “fly on the wall.” Blending the lighting into the environment as well as the photographer is the best way to get intimate candid shots. Although Christian and his team pose families for the traditional style portraits, he adds candid photos to try and catch those will precious heartfelt moments.
