Louisiana has always had a history of influences from Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond suited for inbound travelers seeking bowls of gumbo, jazz clubs, historic neighborhoods and festivals. Now that new social media and video technologies have made it easy for people to communicate with others in real-time, LCN-TV wants people to take Louisiana, and all of its charms, with them wherever they go. LCN-TV produced shows in line with America’s interest in the Cajun culture and believes they can become your digital tour guide for information on things to do, what to eat and great places to visit.
LCN-TV wants to connect audiences with other people that share similar interests centered on quality shows for people to learn, share or explore the Cajun way of doing things via video, audio or text chat services. Jaime Johnson, G.M. of LCN-TV says, “We pride ourselves on being the only network in the U.S. with the most authentic Louisiana programming..” Speaking on the channel lineup, “Not only are most shows produced in Cajun Country, but they are also operated by a Cajun staff. That’s to keep it originally Louisiana for those native Creoles away from home to people who are thinking about visiting for the first time. For us, it’s has to done by Louisianan’s.”
This summer, LCN-TV is combining energy with Simul TV so more viewers can capture the TRUE Louisiana experience through social TV. Steven Turner, CEO of Simul TV, has enthusiastically received LCN-TV knowing the high interest in Louisiana’s culture and entertainment. Steven Turner says, “We’ve reduced the headache of choosing between various video formats for LCN-TV to stream across different operating platforms so they can accomplish their goal of reaching broader audiences at home or on the go. Jaime wants immersive and interactive entertainment experiences his television audience can get into like social media across multiple devices like tablet and PCs and we’re working together to make it happen on a global scale.” LCN-TV is proud to be a part of the newest technology and media distribution, and is excited to grow with Simul TV in years to come.
LCNs’ shows include Cajun chefs cooking the way Cajun’s do, fishing shows that cast in South Louisiana, documentaries from Louisiana and music shows that accent the way the South parties. Their feature music shows are “LA Music”, which allows the viewer to get personal with the artists themselves, and “The Vault” that introduces people to the new world of music videos. More information on LCN-TV and its new development are to come in the following months.
