Metastorm Releases New Business Transformation Practices Framework

BALTIMORE Feb. 15, 2011

The Metastorm Business Transformation Practices Framework is an executive management framework used to align the people, process, and technology initiatives of an organization closer to its business strategy and vision.  Most organizations struggle to manage change and lack a consistent approach that fosters collaboration across the enterprise. As a result, business transformation efforts — both large and small — are often unsuccessful. On a recent Business Transformation webinar poll, when asked to describe their ability to manage change and business transformations within their organization, 63% of participants responded that it was "slow, painful and expensive" and 31% said that efforts were "disjointed and siloed."  The Metastorm Business Transformation Practices Framework addresses these issues.

The framework helps organizations determine how, when and where to implement the right business transformation at the right pace to positively impact profitability, leadership and growth. Using this framework, organizations are able to eliminate complex, competing practices, reduce communication barriers across practice areas, discover current and potential gaps within existing practices, and link up and automate business processes. By aligning an organizational structure against a proven framework, organizations are able to prioritize and manage transformation initiatives, and achieve consistency, repeatability, and measurability across current and future transformation activities.

Key features include a Business Transformation Maturity Model, which examines specific practices, processes, capabilities and activities within an organization to determine its ability to successfully undergo a business transformation, as well as industry-specific reference models tailored to help organizations identify and manage change within a specific industry, best configure capabilities based on product, customer segments and location, and prepare and respond to regulatory change.
