The Airspace Operations Lab at NASA Langley evaluates air traffic management (ATM) concepts and explores human-system interaction issues in a multi-fidelity human-in-the-loop simulation environment designed to allow rapid prototyping of NextGen concepts. This environment allows simulations of aircraft, ATM systems and communication infrastructure for both current day operations and a variety of future, highly automated concepts. Controller workstations are realistic emulations of today’s en route and Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) systems. They also include a full suite of advanced decision support tools and automated functions for conflict detection and resolution, trajectory planning, and managing advanced levels of airborne equipage.

VT MÄK helps customers deliver simulation systems. Leveraging a strong foundation of COTS software products and custom developed system components, MÄK works with customers to build and populate compelling 3D simulated environments in which users train, plan, analyze, experiment, prototype, and demonstrate. MÄK’s primary users are in the aerospace and defense industry, yet the company’s products and services can be used anywhere modeling and simulation is needed. Thousands of customers worldwide use MÄK products, including the world’s ten largest defense contractors. VT MÄK is a company of VT Systems. Please visit http://www.mak.com.
